Rosemary Cineole

Rosmarinus officinalis cineoliferum

Originally from the Mediterranean basin, rosemary is mainly produced in Spain.
It is found all over the world: in France, Portugal, Morocco, South Africa, India, China, Great Britain, Australia, the United States, etc.

Main aromatic molecules: Terpene oxides (1,8-cineole or eucalyptol), monoterpenes, monoterpenones (camphor), monoterpenols.
Family: Lamiaceae.
Producing organs: twigs and flowering tops.
Yield: 1.5 to 2 kg of essential oil per 100 kg of plants.
Equivalence: 1 ml → 31 drops (dosage calculated for a calibrated dropper European Pharmacopoeia).

Rosemary was used in the composition of the famous ”water of the Queen of Hungary”. Originally composed solely of rosemary, it was then enriched with lavender, bergamot, jasmine and amber.
