Rosemary Verbenone

Rosmarinus officinalis verbenoniferum

This 1 to 1.5 metre high sub-shrub, originally from Corsica, has spread to Spain and also flourishes in North Africa. Rosemary grows particularly around the Mediterranean, where it likes sunny exposures with marked summer drought.

Main aromatic molecules: Monoterpenones (verbenone, camphor), monoterpenes, terpene oxides (1,8-cineole or eucalyptol), monoterpenols (borneol), terpene esters (bornyl acetate).
Family: Lamiaceae.
Producing organs: Flowering aerial parts
Yield: 1.6 kg of essential oil for 100 kg of plants
Equivalence: 1 ml -> 30 drops (Dosage calculated for a dropper calibrated according to the European Pharmacopoeia)

Rosemary was the emblem of triumph among the Greeks and Romans. Stability, strength, justice, love and light make its reputation almost millennial.
