Siberian Pine

Abies sibirica

The Siberian fir (Abies sibirica) is a large tree in the Pinaceae family. Native to Siberia, it is the most widespread species of fir in Russia. It can grow to a height of 20 to 35 metres. Its trunk measures up to 1 metre in diameter. It grows at an altitude of around 2000 metres on permanently frozen ground. It lives up to 200 years.

Main aromatic molecules: Monoterpenes (α-pinene, camphene, limonene), terpene esters (bornyl acetate).
Family: Pinaceae.
Producing organs: needles.
Yield: 500 g of essential oil for 100 kg of plants.
Equivalence: 1 ml -> 32 drops (Dosage calculated for a dropper calibrated according to the European Pharmacopoeia).
